Jill (all pronouns) is a licensed psychologist who has worked with Sonoma County teens, adults, partners, and families for over 20 years. With her collaborative and playful approach, Jill supports people to live more authentic lives. She loves to help people find their way to the change they are seeking, whether it is improving their mood, deepening their connection with themselves and loved ones, or finding and expressing their authentic selves.
Jill’s work is strongly rooted in attachment theory, depth psychology, mindfulness, and somatic practices. She has trained in AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). Jill has extensive training and experience working with young people and adults who are gender expansive and actively engaged in their gender evolution. This includes provision of assessments and letters of support for medical interventions. She has supported many families in transition and cares deeply about helping families stay connected as they navigate new territories together. Jill also gets into the trenches with families who have teens that are struggling with anxiety or depression or in the throes of off-track coping strategies. She works to reconnect youth with their true selves and with the families that love them.
Jill was a youth and family therapist and clinical director at TLC Child & Family Services residential treatment program for over 13 years. There, she advocated fiercely for LGBT youth and led TLC to the forefront of providing essential and appropriate treatment for youth who identified as transgender. For the following 8 years, Jill worked alongside primary health care providers and psychiatrists at West County Health Centers, where she co-founded their Gender Expansive Services Clinic. Jill identifies as nonbinary, middle child, partner, parent, athlete, coach, and lover of nature, and is thrilled to be collaborating with Quest Family Therapy, working with individuals and families across the lifespan from age 10 and up.
