Quest Family Therapy specializes in gender and sexual orientation affirming care for people of all ages and their families. Quest provides ongoing training opportunities through the Gender Health Training Institute (GHTI) in gender affirming care, gender health evaluations & letters, family/couples/relational therapy, and best business practices. Quest is dedicated to providing independent clinicians with reflective individual and team consultations.

We are hiring part-time (4-20+ hours per week), independent contractor clinicians, licensed in their state who would like to start or expand their private practice by providing gender affirming care to trans, non-binary, and gender expansive children, adolescents, emerging adults, and their families. Applicants have the opportunity to participate in the GHTI Advanced Coaching Program to hone their gender affirmative skills. Training in couple/relationship and family therapy and the integration of evidence based, sex-positive, narrative, and liberation models will be available to applicants.
Independent contractor clinicians are expected to conduct collaborative gender health evaluations, write letters of readiness for youth and adults, provide individual, couple, & family therapy, and gender coaching as necessary. Sessions are being provided either virtually or in your private practice office and at your discretion. Administrative tasks (initial intakes and billing) are handled by Quest. Hours are flexible and can include evenings and weekends.
The ideal candidate is independent, responsible, energetic, curious, has a passion for learning, and is interested in offering collaborative gender affirming care to trans, non-binary, and gender expansive humans and their families. Competence in gender affirming care is a plus, but not required. GHTI’s training will get you up to speed quickly if you are passionate about serving the community.

Quest Family Therapy is trans-owned, California-based, gender affirming couple/relationship and family psychotherapy practice that works predominantly with transgender, non-binary, and gender expansive people and their families. Clients range in age from families with 4-year-olds to adults in their 80s, with a majority being trans youth and their families. We offer collaborative gender health evaluations that include referral letters for medical treatment and participate in interdisciplinary teams for gender affirming care wherever the clients is located. We also provide gender coaching and when needed individual, couple, and family therapy. We are trauma informed, non-pathologizing, family systems and narratively oriented, and utilize evidence based treatments such as EMDR, CBT, DBT, IFS, etc.
