Kira/Ki Willow (ey/she/he/they) is a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Professional Clinical counselor, working under the supervision of Jill Rees, PhD. She has a passion for supporting transgender and non-binary people and their families. Her approach to therapy focuses on helping people feel seen and understood, supporting them in recognizing how their environment affects them and finding ways to make their lives work better for them.
Before earning a degree in Counseling Psychology from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA, Ki volunteered at the San Mateo County Pride Center, where they facilitated a weekly group for transgender and non-binary adults. They later returned as a therapist trainee and provided therapy to a wide variety of people from the LGBTQ+ community, including transgender adults, adolescents, and their families.
Their experience there included supporting people exploring their gender and pursuing gender-affirming care, living with many forms of neurodiversity (including ADHD and various points on the autism spectrum), working with trauma, and everyday stress.
Along with working with transgender and non-binary people and their families, Kira is also interested in working with polyamory and other forms of ethical non-monogamy, neurodiversity (including autism and plurality/DID), and the broader LGBTQ+ community.
In his free time, Ki enjoys hiking, reading, and playing video games. Ey is also constantly trying out different forms of creative expression, including a variety of crafts and baking.
